Rob Knudsen

Born and raised in Brussels, Rob graduated in Cinematographic Image from IAD. He works across documentary, fiction and music videos, combining directing and cinematography with practical experience of making films and working on set.

He wrote and directed Timeline, une belge histoire du rap, broadcast on RTBF and Auvio. At Gloobi Boolga, he supports filmmakers from writing and development, then works with crews to find the resources and production approach that will bring their films to life.

Rob supports films from writing through to the shoot.

Youri Berkenbaum

Youri began making videos as a child, experimenting with short films and stop-motion. He later discovered professional film sets and studied Image Techniques at HELB, while developing his camera work and directing practice through his own projects.

The filmmaker behind Xavouchka and No Fa Niente, he also directs music videos and live sessions. Within the collective, he works on writing and story structure, then reshapes the narrative through editing, which he sees as a further stage of writing.

Timothy Lunn

Tim studied for a master’s in documentary anthropology in Amsterdam. His sociological approach and academic interest in esotericism inform his attention to beliefs, stories and ways of inhabiting the world, grounded in close encounters with the people he films.

At Gloobi Boolga, he brings a research method and keeps the documentary work grounded: understanding what we film, maintaining a clear direction and finding magic in the everyday. He is developing Kippenhok, a feature documentary, alongside his work within the collective.

A tool for making films

Re-enchanting reality
through the everyday.

We are producers and filmmakers. We created Gloobi Boolga in Brussels in 2025 to make films. We see it first as a filmmaking tool, driven by the desire to create rather than by a business model.

We make this tool available to emerging filmmakers whose work resonates with us and with whom we want to make films. We support their projects from the writing stage, sharing our equipment, practical skills and production resources.

We work horizontally: discussing ideas, making decisions together and getting our hands dirty. We enjoy sharing skills across roles, learning by doing and finding solutions together for each film.

The pleasure of making things is part of what brings us together. We choose films for their stories, perspectives and the creative adventure they offer. Our documentary approach keeps us attentive to people and places, while looking for magic in the everyday.
